Jumpin' Jack Flash is a 1986 movie starring Whoopi Goldberg, Stephen Collins, Carol Kane, John Wood, and Annie Potts. It is the first movie that Penny Marshall directed.
It is the story of an office clerk, played by Goldberg, who communicates online with people around the world. One day, one of the people she communicates with reveals to her that he is a British spy, trapped in a hostile country, and appeals to Goldberg to help him return home safely.
The film was one of the first to feature online communications as a key part of the plot.
The soundtrack includes two versions of the song "Jumpin' Jack Flash"; one by Aretha Franklin, and the other by the Rolling Stones.
